Contestants have to graft different varieties on one apple tree (Malus domestica). Recommended grafting method is splice grafting. Although, it is allowed to use whip and tongue grafting, or any other method contestants know. Contestants make three grafting (tree-top and two branches). It is allowed to use own pruners and grafting knife. Inform judges about the usage of own equipment. The quality of grafting (cuts, binding and pruning) will be assessed. Time limit for the disqualification is 15 minutes.
